Review: Foretold: 14 Tales of Prophecy and Prediction

Foretold: 14 Tales of Prophecy and Prediction

Vampires, curses, weird towns, killing gardens, phantoms, teenage fortune tellers, prophecies and predictions. 14 different stories. This anthology has most of the paranormal world in it.

We get to read stories from best-selling authors such as Richelle Mead, Meg Cabot, Heather Brewer, Kami Garcia, Margaret Stohl and the list goes on.

The Vampire Academy lovers get to read, Homecoming, a short story about Rose’s and Dimitri’s trip to Russia. We see the Belikov family and read Yeva Belikov’s crazy prophecies that frustrate Rose (that’s why we adore her). But of course there is no VA without Strigoi, in this story, the Blood King. But, don’t worry. Roza, Dimka and Mark, a shadow-kissed dhampir we were introduced to in Blood Promise are well-trained.

It’s been a while since we were in Rose’s head because of Sydney but it was a good change.
Rose was pretty concerned about Dimitri, especially when they were attacked by the Blood King and she got worried that Dimitri might turn into a Strigoi again. I guess she will always have that fear.

Their wedding was also mentioned. Rose wants to be in her twenties before marrying Dimka but as he says in the story, he can be very persuasive. They only thing we can do is hope that Richelle will write another VA story that includes the wedding.

I chose to write only about Homecoming because it’s the only story that’s connected to  a book. All in all, all the stories are worth reading. It’s a breath of paranormal air. And a pretty good one!

  1. I read this yesterday and as I was reading I realized how much I missed Rose and Dimka, it was so awesome to read about them again. I definitely agree with you on how Richelle Mead should write the story about their wedding in the future, that would just be too awesome :D Awesome review :)
