Review
The story
Ashley Parker is tired of boys. So her plan is: have a fun-and-with-no-strings relationship and stay way from trouble. But is Nathan Williams th exception?
The characters
Nathan Williams is the best and worst kind of trouble Ashley could ask for. Nathan is a player because he's never found the right girl to have a serious relationship with. Not until Ashley...
On the other hand, Ashley just broke up with her boyfriend. She just wants to be independent and stay away from boys. But Nathan is sweet and he cares about her. He gives Ashley all the time she needs and doesn't pressure her for anything. He knows that Ashley is the one, but he thinks he's not good enough for her and as a result he dumps her but doesn't let her go. That's one of the things I didn't like about him. He can be with anyone he wants but he's always jealous of the guys in Ashley's life. He also criticizes her decisions and actions and there are moments that he kisses and gives her false hopes and that can be quite confusing and frustrating. He doesn't even allow her to move on even though he can.
After a tragic family loss, she finds comfort in playing the guitar and writing songs. What she could never imagine is the fact that she can actually sing. Long story short, she becomes the next big thing and goes on a tour, where she meets Caleb, a hot guitar player who might be exactly what she wants: a distraction. He turns out to be a good friend who listens and advises her as well.
Caleb or Nathan?
Verdict
A love story with its ups and downs, the power of making the right decisions and forgiving because that's the only way to move on. Looking forward to reading what happens next!
