Book Summary

Desperate to keep him....

I've finally gotten everything I ever wanted: love, freedom, happiness, and, most importantly, Finn. Our love is everything I expected it to be and more. We've finally found each other, but the world seems determined to tear us apart. We thought my father was the only obstacle between us, but now it's the military. With Finn’s departure looming, we’re squeezing in every moment together before we run out of time.

Trying to make every moment count…

Being Carrie’s bodyguard was one thing. Being her boyfriend is another. Every day she’s mine is a day the sun shines in my life. Yet our time together is running out. Her father will never think a tattooed Marine will be good enough so I’ll do with whatever it takes to be worthy of her love. But the road will take me away from the girl who makes me feel alive--the girl I can't live without.

Time only gets us so far...

ARC Review

The story

Out of Time picks up where Out Of Line left off.Carrie and Finn are together! They belong to each other and they are ready to face everything, including Carrie's father. But they haven't taken under consideration one small, tiny detail.Life...

The characters

Carrie couldn't be happier. She's with the man she loves, her grades are great and she's far away from her father. She's finally free to live her life and try new things but the only stable thing in her life is Finn who makes her laugh, feel special and safe. Carrie doesn't care about money and prestige, she just wants to spend the rest of her life with her other half. But their happiness doesn't last long....

Finn feels like he won the lottery.Carrie accepts him for who he is and that's the most important thing for him. He's ready to face Carrie's father who is about to run for President. He believes that if he becomes a commissioned officer and gets a job in that field through the Marines,Carrie's father will see him as an asset and not a loser with many tattoos and a motorcycle. And the perfect opportunity comes up when he receives a phone call from his commanding officer on a Sunday night demanding that he has to report to his base next weekend. No other member of his unit got the call and he knows that something bad is about to happen but he would risk his life in order to keep Carrie safe or even get the slightest chance to be with her. So,he accepts to take part in a classified mission and get one step closer to getting his happily ever after with Carrie.

I loved Carrie and Finn's relationship. They have faced many obstacles but in the end, they are always together. They complete and make each other happy. Finally, after all these years Carrie stood up to her father and she owes that to Finn and Finn isn't afraid of fighting for the one he loves and he owes that to Carrie because she's the reason...

Verdict

Out Of Line is fast-paced and romantic. While reading the book,we witness how Finn and Carrie discover each other and themselves and how mature they become through their decisions. The cliffhanger will a)make you happy because this isn't the end of their story and b) frustrate and make you sad because that's exactly what a cliffhanger is... :)
