Synopsis

I have 15 minutes to save my mother’s life….

15 minutes is all the Rewind Agency gives you in the past, but for Lara Crane it’s enough time to race through the city, find her mother, and stop her from being killed in a mugging that happened over ten years ago.

But that’s not how it happened. The story she’s been told all her life is a lie and when Lara takes a bullet meant for her mother, her future changes forever.

The love of her life acts like a stranger. Her simple life is replaced with a giant house, glamorous clothes and a new boyfriend.
Except someone knows her secret. And he will try to stop her at every turn as she races against the clock to unravel a dangerous conspiracy.

15 Minutes is an edgy high octane YA thriller that can be described as Back to the Future meets Inception where the people Lara trusts change in an instant. She is in a timeline she doesn't understand, and is about to make one fatal mistake as she faces an enemy so familiar, he’s family.

The characters

Lara Crane had it all.Well,almost.She had an amazing and caring father that raised her,Rick,a sweet and compassionate boyfriend but the one thing that she didn't have was a mother. She lost her when she was little.
But on her sixteenth birhday her dad gives her the best gift she could get and that is a chance to go back in time and see her mother. But that will never be enough for her. So,she decides to go back in time one more time,to the day her mother was murdered, save her and change the future. She only has 15 minutes to accomplish that but she's determined to spend every single one of them trying.

But she never thought of the consequences. She saves her mother but gets shot.Normally, she would be dead but then she wakes up in a bedroom that isn't hers and meets her new family. Her mother is alive but she remarried.Lara also has two siblings but her father is nowhere in sight.Later, she finds out that he was accused and convicted for the attempted murder on his wife.

Lara knows that can't possibly be true so she starts looking for evidence that can prove that her father is innocent. Her research leads her to the Rewind Agency where her mother works and the things she finds out put her in more danger than she could ever imagine.

For the time being,Lara lives in a different timeline.Apart from her family, her personal life isn't the same anymore.Rick,is a stranger who she hasn't spoken to for years. But Donovan, the Senator's son,is her boyfriend now. He's sweet and cares deeply for Lara but in the beginning,it is very dfficult for her to be with him because it's like she's cheating on Rick. But she realizes that maybe she never returns to her old life because she has changed the past. That means Rick may never be hers again and Donovan is right in front of her.Can she really ignore her new feelings towards him?

Her life and her family are in danger and she will do everything to keep them alive. But there are so many buried secrets and enemies that she doesn't really know who to trust.Sometimes the truth hurts a lot more. She feels betrayed and angry at the people she trusted and thought as her allies but power and money can be very tempting. She's the only one who can save the future from the people who are trying to change it but sometimes no matter what you do isn't enough..

Verdict

I love time travel thrillers and 15 Minutes made me love this genre even more.Suspense, romance, love and loyalty towards family are some of the reasons that make this book one of the best YA books I've read.Lara is a fresh YA heroine that you'll love!I stayed up all night reading it but there were so many twists and turns that I stayed awake long after I finished reading it.

About the author

I could write this in the third person. I could tell you what I like, where I was born, and what my favorite things are.

But instead, I'll say I don't want to write like everyone else. I don't want to craft stories you've read a thousand times before. I want my novels to be a cinematic experience, blending themes, genres, and situations unlike any you've ever read.

I want to break the rules. I want you to break out in a cold sweat as you read my books out of fear, love, and excitement. I want my books to be an experience. When you finish, I want you to feel something. Good or bad.

If you do, then I'll have succeeded. If not, I'll keep trying.
